The stay was enjoyable, particularly because it makes for an ideal base to visit nearby attractions like the Ravenna Bridge, just a short stroll away. The family room was spacious and had a lovely balcony, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the beautiful area. We also appreciated the option to dine in the attached restaurant, where we had a satisfying breakfast and dinner during our visit.

The views from Hofgut Sternen are absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by the beauty of the Black Forest. I loved the historical ambiance of the hotel with its charming cuckoo clock and engaging glassblowing shop right on the premises. My room was spacious and well-decorated, featuring a comfortable sitting area and an electric kettle for tea, which added a nice touch. However, the noise from the highway was a significant drawback. I struggled to get a good night's sleep, even with earplugs in. Service at the bar was slow. I waited 20 minutes just to get my drinks. Breakfast lacked variety, and some items like the fruit salad tasted off. On top of that, I encountered cleanliness issues upon arrival, with hairs left in the shower. While the location offers plenty of hiking opportunities, the overabundance of tour groups made it feel crowded at times. I left feeling that the place has great potential, but improvements are definitely needed in service and cleanliness.

Spacious rooms with a large bathroom. A lovely balcony overlooking a fast-moving creek. The cellar bar showcases original foundations, adding to the charming historical atmosphere.
Crowded grounds due to Viking Cruise tour groups, which obstruct paths and access to the souvenir store. The nearby highway noise is disruptive during the night, especially with opened windows, as the building lacks AC.

Ideal for family getaways
We stayed at a family room which was huge , perfect for our kids to run around. The breakfast selection was amazing with something for everyone, even a delicious salad buffet that didn't have ham for those dietary needs.
It wasn’t inexpensive , but for what we got, I’d say it was acceptable.
